UOSH has adopted the new Federal OSHA standards regarding Silica, and will begin enforcement in October 2018. This training will provide you with information to protect your workers from overexposure and protect your company from OSHA citations.
In the construction industry, common workplace operations involving cutting, sawing, drilling, and crushing of concrete, brick, block, rock, and stone products; and operations using sand products (such as sand blasting) can result in the inhalation of small (respirable) crystalline silica particles in the air.
This course presents an overview of the dangers of silica, specifically in construction.
